Animal Buddies Campaign - Bazaar & More

Saturday, September 17, 2011 10AM - 3PM in front of Vet. Pepe’s clinic – [ Hildalgo #96 A ] on the Carretera in Riberas. [ going east towards Chapala, just before Telecable ]

Animal Buddies Campaign custom hand-made pet  beds [ and birdhouses ] will be available.

Also available this day:

• some baked goods
• plant sale 
• clothing [ men and women’s ]
• books
• CDs, DVDs
• Fax machine
• DVD player
• bicycle, push mower
• pet items, and much more - no junk.

Anita’s Animal will be present to have items for “sale”. Proceeds from the sale of these items helps supports Anita’s Animal rescue work,and the 20% contributed to ABC also helps Anita with a “credit” for spaying and neutering . The ABC organization is the only organization at this time that helps provide financial support to Anita’s Animals for spaying-neutering. Animals.

If you have some items you want to sell and  interested in making some money, you can participate with the ABC group on this day’s event - you keep  80% of  your sales and the ABC receives 20% as a donation. ABC does the advertising, supplies the tents and offers a great location. However, you must bring your own table. This is a holiday weekend and should be very busy. Proceeds from sale go to neutering and spaying procedures from Dr. Pepe for local rescuers, who wish to accept this offering from the ABC group.

This is sad and staggering mathematical fact: One female dog and her offspring can produce 67,000 dogs in 6 years time. One female cat and her offspring can produce 20,736 cats in 4 years time.

Please come and support this effort of animal lovers who want to help get a better control of our Lakeside pet over-population.

Animal Buddies Campaign Spaghetti dinner Fundraiser

Salvador's Restaurant - Ajijic - Friday June 17, 2011  5 - 8 PM

Dinner includes; house salad, garlic bread, spaghetti with choice of 3 sauces ( Marinara, Bolognese or Alfredo with chicken ).

Choice of 1 beverage (wine, beer, soda, ice tea) and dessert.

Ticket cost 190 Pesos. Gratuities not covered by ticket purchase.

There will also be live traditional Mexican and American music provided by local professional musicians

Tickets can be purchased at: Salvador's, Diane Pearl in Ajijic, Mia's Boutique in Ajijic, Anita’s Animals @ Wednesday Tianguis, New Look Studio in San Antonio - 1 block from Superlake, and from ABC members directly.

There will be Door prizes, which include, Art Jewelry by Benjamine du Renard, Pedicure/Manicure service from New Look Studio in San Antonio, French Lessons, wine, champagne, Harmony Kingdom Box Figurine, England and more.

This event will be introducing custom–made Animal Buddies Campaign wood dog/cat beds. ABC beds and cushions are made by our members. Cushion covers are zippered for ease of washing and have been pre-washed.

You can custom order a bed for your little one. Proceeds from the purchase of these items will go directly to the x-ray machine fund for Dr. Pepe's clinic.

Come and enjoy a fun evening and help the animals at the same time.

You must bring ticket with you for admittance and door prize entry.

This group supports Anita's Animals, by providing a 'credit' at Vet. 'Pepe' Magana's office for spaying-neuterng of Anita's cats and dogs, at a very reduced fee for this surgery.

They also support Vet. Pepe with some of his medical-surgical expenses of the various animals he rescues himself and/or those animals he accepts from others who rescue an animal that requires care but the animal does not have an owner or someone who can/does pay any fee for this care.

We want to thank everyone that came to our bake/bazaar sale March 26, 2011and made it a great success. We met many wonderful caring people from the community that wished us well. We want to thank all the ladies and gentlemen that donated a baked item. Patti, your sugar cookies were great. Vallerina, just fabulous, thank you. I did not get to meet some of the other people that donated, but thank you all so much. I also want to thank Moms Restaurant for their delicious donation.

We had a great day and had a lot of fun meeting you all. We were able to raise over 8000P, that will spay/neuter quite a few cats and dogs, thanks to Dr. Pepe. Just imagine how many kittens one cat can have in its lifetime, and the outcome for many of those kittens. How many puppies one dog can have in its lifetime. It is so heartbreaking to think of it, but today you helped to prevent some of the heartbreak. Sharon, thank you for the love and tears today for the animals.

Animal Buddies Bake sale and Bazaar the sole purpose is fund raising for cat/dog spaying / neutering - which will assistance Anita's Animals

Place: in front of Vet. Pepe Magaña's office, Hidalgo # 96A in Riberias del Pilar lakeside, on the Carretera, in the complex with TeleCable, one block prior to Mom's Deli & Maskara Clinic

If you bake, make something that you like, which can be sold with the proceeds to help this needed service. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.

Meet with the members of this group, and help contribute in whatever manner you wish, to help promote and support cat & dog spaying and neutering.

A [new] local group of individuals who are animal lovers, and called Animal Buddies is doing this fundraiser to [solely] help with spaying & neutering . The proceeds from this benefit will assist Anita's Animals who does not get specific funding for this surgery.

The group is aware that there are several other groups in the area that aid with spay and neuter, and thought that this small group and it's fund raising activities would help support this much needed effort for spaying & neutering.

The group's intentions are not to take away from these other groups, but to help in their own way.

Dr. Pepe has provided this group with a very reasonable surgical fee for spaying /neutering of cats and dogs, and they have confidence in his surgical expertise which includes over 17 years in practice and/or their personal experiences with his care for their pets.

The group has chosen to use Dr. Pepe Magaña, as their designated Vet for these spaying/neutering surgeries. Much like that of the LFA / Lakeside Friends of the Animals who have chosen their designated Vet, Dr's Lardon, who they solely reimburse for these surgical services.

The goal is to fundraiser in different ways using our various resources, i.e., baking, plant sales, bazaars (having people set up a site / table for themselves at group functions with the understanding that they would donate 20% of their sales for these surgical procedures funded by the group. Animals Buddies does not have plans to become a legal enterprise, such a Mexican A.C , which is a time consuming and expensive process. This group consists of ordinary everyday people from different walks of life, but who share the love and respect for animals and want to offer a helping hand to contain pet over-population [solely] through spaying and neutering. .

This Animal Buddy group also includes people from the Wild Life organization, who help with public education about animal wild life preservation and respect for animals. Included in their public teaching also are topics such as respect and care of [family] pets, and support spaying/neutering efforts as the main means to contain pet over-population.

Dr. Pepe Magaña has helped so many animals in his career and loves doing it. He has many rescues [cats and dogs] that are looking for their forever home and some will be available for adoption during the bake/bazaar sale.
